"L'art pour l'art" was the slogan created by the French philosopher Victor Cousin, for the thesis that art can only be judged by their own criteria, which was adopted by an artistic movement whose aim was the separation of art and life.

But how can we derive from art what it is substantial, given that this is a plan where it is plausible to recreate reality as an expression of an artist's eye on life. Ledo Another mistake is to want that art exists plainly.

The art world is permeated by purpose, goals and aspirations, even if they consist in the denial of themselves. Find at least one common purpose to the work of, exist as art, because without this we would not have its design.

We still have all the inherent pretensions of its creator, who wishes them hide their most sordid and sublime, revealing to the world that has the vision of life. And this, in turn, sharpen the viewer's perception, which becomes an admirer or detractor.

So the art is presented intimately connected to life, preventing the existence of one without the other, since the art softens the experience. Declared bankruptcy illusory concept of "l'art pour l'art" and gave impetus to the "l'art pour la vie".
